Terms of service
Last updated October 20, 2026 · Version 2026-10-20
These Terms govern your use of LocalFlips.com ("LocalFlips"), a service of Beaver Analytics LLC, a California limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"). Please keep a copy for your records. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
1. Eligibility and your agreement
LocalFlips is offered to users in the United States who are at least 13 years old. It is not available to children under 13. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this minimum age and agree to these Terms. If you have not reached the age of legal majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms with you and supervise your use.
A person who has reached legal majority must personally authorize paid service and accept responsibility for its charges. For a teen account, that person must be the user's parent or legal guardian. By authorizing payment, that adult agrees to these Terms in their own capacity and accepts responsibility for the account's authorized charges. Merely using someone else's card is not their agreement. If you act for a business, you must have authority to bind it.
2. Your account
Provide accurate account and contact information, keep it current, and protect your sign-in credentials. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or charges. A parent or guardian may assist a teen as described above; otherwise, do not share your account with unrelated people or transfer it without our agreement. You are responsible for activity you authorize, subject to rights that the law protects.
Features are available only where offered in the service. The availability of a feature in a demonstration does not enable that feature for your account. You may stop using LocalFlips at any time; cancel paid service separately as explained below.
3. Price and what counts as delivery
Paid finds cost 5% of the projected profit displayed for each qualifying find when it reaches your LocalFlips inbox, rounded down to the nearest cent. This is $1 for every $20 of projected profit. A find with $61.75 in projected profit has a $3.08 nominal fee. The fee is earned on inbox delivery, whether or not you open an alert, purchase an item, or make a profit. Optional email, text, or Discord notifications do not determine when a find is delivered or billable.
A qualifying find meets the minimum projected profit and minimum all-in return on investment for your search: $50 and 50% unless you choose other minimums in Search settings, where that option is offered. Projected profit is an estimate using the purchase-price and cost assumptions shown with the find, not actual earnings. The LocalFlips fee is additional to those costs; personal costs such as tax, travel, repairs, and returns may also reduce your actual outcome. There is no guarantee that an item can be purchased or resold at a particular price or that you will earn money. Your fee uses the delivery-time figure, not a later change in an estimate.
Charges are in US dollars. We do not charge a flat monthly subscription price or require you to spend your selected limit. A cycle with no billable usage has no usage charge. Any tax we are required to collect on our service will be included within your stated limit and identified on the applicable receipt; it will not be an undisclosed addition above the limit. You remain responsible for taxes on your own separate transactions or earnings.
4. Your free find
An eligible person receives one free qualifying find. No card is required, and the free find does not automatically convert into paid service. After it is used, paid delivery begins only if you choose it and authorize payment. Creating another account does not create a new free entitlement. An unused free entitlement is preserved if paid service is activated first. A used free entitlement does not renew when you cancel or restart.
If we approve a report that your free find was invalid under our refund policy, you are entitled to one replacement free find. Contact us if that replacement is not available in your account; a replacement does not reset your prior redemption record.
5. Recurring payment and billing dates
Paid service continues until you cancel. When you activate it, you authorize Beaver Analytics LLC, through its payment processor Stripe, to save your payment method and charge the variable amount due for each monthly billing cycle without requiring you to be present for each charge. The activation screen shows the rate, selected spending limit, and billing timing before you agree. We also may collect outstanding authorized charges after cancellation and retry failed payments as described below.
Your first cycle starts when paid service activates. Each cycle ends at the corresponding date and time in the next month. If that day does not exist, the boundary falls on the last day of that month; later months return to the original day when possible. Boundaries use UTC, so the time displayed locally may change with daylight saving time. Billing shows the dates that apply to your account. Cancellation closes the cycle early.
We charge earned usage at the cycle's end, including an early end on cancellation, and email a receipt for each charge. Your billing history provides usage, adjustments, and payment status. Contact us if a receipt or billing record is unavailable. Keeping a payment method on file does not by itself authorize activation of paid service.
Debit and prepaid cards. Because the amount of each monthly charge varies, if you pay with a debit or prepaid card you have the right to notice of each charge's amount and date at least 10 days before it is made. By authorizing paid service, you instead choose to receive advance notice only when a charge would be more than your selected monthly limit. If you would rather receive notice of every charge, email chris@beaveranalyticshq.com before your next charge, and we will help you switch to a credit card or cancel paid service.
6. Your spending limit
Your selected monthly limit must be at least $10; this is a cap, not a minimum bill or a prepaid balance. The fee total may pass the limit when the last whole find arrives, but the charge remains capped and further paid finds pause. Unused allowance does not carry into later cycles, and uncharged overflow is not carried into a new cycle as an additional find fee.
For example, $45 in fees plus a $10 find produces $55 in nominal fees. With a $50 limit, only $50 is chargeable and $5 is overflow. Raising the limit during that same cycle can make the existing overflow chargeable. We show the added amount and require your express agreement before doing so. A new higher limit must leave at least $1 above accrued net fees. You cannot lower the limit below already chargeable usage or the $10 minimum.
Credits and approved adjustments can reduce what is due. When a remaining USD invoice balance is below Stripe's minimum collectible amount, our policy is to waive that small residual rather than require a separate payment or carry it forward. If a statement still shows such a residual, contact us for correction. This does not waive larger valid amounts.
7. Pause, cancellation, restart, and failed payment
You can cancel online in Billing. If you cannot sign in or use that control, email chris@beaveranalyticshq.com for help canceling. We may verify the account appropriately, but will not require you to purchase another service or accept an offer to cancel.
Cancellation stops new paid finds and closes the current cycle. Previously delivered billable finds remain payable, subject to adjustments and applicable rights. A final charge or eligible refund can therefore occur after cancellation. Cancellation does not charge previously uncharged overflow. Eligible unused credits are returned to the original payment method after outstanding amounts and prior use of credits are reconciled.
Pausing stops further paid delivery but keeps the billing cycle running; it does not cancel the agreement or erase fees already earned. Restarting canceled service requires a fresh authorization and an eligible payment method, starts a new billing cycle, and retains your chosen limit. Outstanding payment or refund issues may need to be resolved first.
If a payment fails, new paid delivery pauses. We may retry the authorized amount on days 1, 3, and 7 after the initial failure, subject to the processor's response. We may require an updated payment method or your action to resolve a payment. Uncertain payments, disputes, and refunds may require review before service resumes. We do not charge an additional LocalFlips late-payment fee.
Deleting an account stops its use but does not erase valid outstanding charges or your right to a refund. Contact us about unsettled billing or credits when requesting deletion. We retain limited records as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Reports, credits, and refunds
Report an invalid find through its report control or contact us if that control is unavailable. Approved scam or unprofitable-find reports qualify for a fee adjustment; we also correct duplicate or erroneous charges. Explain the issue and provide reasonably necessary evidence. A scam report requires screenshots of the relevant conversation. Remove unrelated sensitive information before submitting evidence.
You may use the report control while the find remains in your inbox. Archiving it yourself closes that in-product reporting window; automatic archiving does not. There is no separate calendar deadline for an otherwise reportable find. You can still contact us about billing errors or rights provided by law. A declined report may be appealed by replying with the reason you disagree and any additional evidence; you may request human review.
An item's being unavailable, someone else purchasing it, a seller declining an offer, changing your mind, or not achieving an estimated profit does not by itself establish an invalid find or a refund entitlement. We consider the particular facts and may offer goodwill adjustments. There is no additional unconditional money-back or earnings guarantee.
An adjustment removes the invalid find's nominal fee and reduces the amount payable only to the extent it affected the capped bill. In the $55/$50 example above, removing the $10 find reduces the bill to $45, a $5 financial adjustment. If the remaining valid fees still exceed the limit, the financial adjustment may be zero. We do not refund uncharged overflow or issue the same remedy twice.
Within an open cycle, an approved adjustment reduces that cycle's usage and restores available allowance where applicable. For an unpaid closed cycle, it reduces the amount owed. For an already paid cycle while service continues, the eligible amount ordinarily becomes credit toward a later invoice. If paid service is canceled or there will be no later invoice, eligible unused credit is refunded to the original payment method. A payment made using earlier credit is reviewed so an approved correction does not forfeit credit value you were entitled to retain.
Refunds depend on confirming the original payment, amounts already returned, and the status of any dispute. Processing and bank posting times vary. A pending refund is not yet a completed refund. If the original payment method cannot receive it, contact us to arrange a lawful resolution. None of these terms limits refunds, payment-dispute rights, or other remedies that applicable law requires.
9. Optional LocalFlips text alerts
LocalFlips Find Alerts is an optional automated text program for notifications that a new find has arrived in your inbox. Enrollment also involves messages you request to verify your number and manage the program. We do not send marketing texts. By submitting your number through a disclosed opt-in and completing verification, you agree to receive these messages at that number and confirm you are authorized to enroll it.
The one-time mobile code required to receive a free find verifies possession only and does not enroll you in recurring alerts. Recurring enrollment requires a separate unchecked opt-in. After enrollment, we send a confirmation that identifies LocalFlips.com and repeats the HELP and STOP instructions.
Message frequency varies with your activity and available finds. Message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan. Consent to texts is not a condition of purchase or of using paid LocalFlips service. You can use the service without enrolling in texts.
Reply STOP to opt out or turn off texts in Account. A final opt-out confirmation may be sent. Reply HELP or email chris@beaveranalyticshq.com for help. Tell us if you give up or change the enrolled number. Re-enrollment requires a new opt-in. LocalFlips and mobile carriers do not guarantee timely or successful delivery; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The Privacy Policy describes how mobile information and consent records are used.
Optional promotional emails require a separate opt-in and include an unsubscribe method. Unsubscribing from promotions does not stop necessary account, security, or billing messages.
10. Responsible use
Use LocalFlips lawfully. Do not access another person's account without authorization, interfere with security or availability, submit fraudulent claims or unauthorized payment details, harass anyone, upload unlawful material, or misuse the service to infringe another person's rights. Do not copy or resell the service or bypass access controls. These limits do not restrict activity the law expressly permits.
We may restrict or suspend access reasonably necessary to address a violation, nonpayment, security issue, or legal obligation. Where practical, we will explain the reason and allow you to contact us for review. Suspension does not remove valid refund rights or authorize new usage charges for finds not delivered.
11. Our software and your submissions
Beaver Analytics LLC and its licensors retain their rights in LocalFlips' software, branding, and original site materials. We give you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the service in accordance with these Terms.
You retain your rights in information and materials you submit to us. You give us permission to store, use, transmit, and review those submissions only as reasonably needed to provide the service, respond to you, address disputes, protect the service, and meet legal obligations, consistent with the Privacy Policy. This does not grant permission to sell your personal information or train AI models on your personal information or customer content.
12. Availability and warranties
We work to provide a useful, functioning service, but do not promise uninterrupted access, a minimum number of finds, exclusivity, or a particular financial result. Availability and features may change. Except for express promises in these Terms and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, the service is provided as available without additional warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement.
13. Limits of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, neither party is liable to the other under these Terms for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. Subject to the exceptions below, our aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the greater of $100 or the fees you paid us during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limits do not reduce an express refund obligation or apply to fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be limited. They do not require you to waive protected payment-dispute rights.
14. Resolving a dispute
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. This is not a prerequisite to exercising a legal right or seeking urgent relief. California law governs these Terms, except that mandatory protections of the jurisdiction where you live continue to apply.
Unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere, disputes may be brought in the state or federal courts serving Santa Clara County, California. You may bring an eligible small-claims case in an appropriate small-claims court. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive class-action rights.
15. Changes and general terms
We will post an updated date when these Terms change and provide notice of material changes through appropriate account or contact channels before they take effect. We will obtain fresh consent where required, including for changes requiring new payment authorization. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued rights. You can cancel if you do not wish to continue under a proposed change.
If a provision cannot be enforced, the rest remains effective to the extent permitted by law. Our failure to enforce a provision immediately is not a waiver. Any transfer of this agreement in a business reorganization or sale must preserve your existing rights. These Terms and the specific payment authorization you accept are the agreement for the service; any conflict is resolved in favor of your nonwaivable rights and the more specific disclosed payment terms.
