How LocalFlips.com works
You tell us where you are and how far you’ll drive. We find the underpriced listings on Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp and Craigslist inside that area and send you only the ones projected to clear $50 profit after selling fees by default, with the math already done. You decide which ones to buy.
1. Set your area
Pick a city or ZIP code and how far you’re willing to drive. Every find comes from inside that radius, anywhere in the United States. You can change it any time in Search settings, and the change applies to the finds we send from then on.
2. We find the underpriced ones
We find the listings in your radius priced well under what the same item actually sells for. A lot of good flips don’t look like much at first: a vague title, a dark photo, a brand nobody mentioned. We work out what each one is worth from real recent sales, then take off selling fees, shipping and what you’d pay the seller.
We stick to things you can ship as a regular parcel, like game consoles, electronics, tools, musical instruments, kitchen gear and designer bags. Furniture, big appliances and other freight-sized items aren’t part of it.
3. Only the ones that clear the bar reach you
By default, a listing becomes a find only if it’s projected to leave you at least $50 after selling fees and a 50% all-in return on everything you’d put in. If it misses either one, you never hear about it.
Finds land in your inbox. Add a mobile number and we’ll also text you the moment one arrives, which helps, because good listings sell fast.
4. You message the seller and buy it yourself
Each find shows the asking price, a suggested offer, what it sells for, the fees, shipping and packing, and the projected profit, with a link to the original listing. Sold prices shows the sales behind the estimate, so you can check it yourself.
We never message sellers, buy anything for you or touch your Facebook, OfferUp or Craigslist account. You deal with the seller on the marketplace, the same way you would with any listing.
An example
Here’s the math on one listing from our homepage: a Nintendo Switch console bundle on Facebook Marketplace, 3 miles away, listed at $135. It’s an example to show how the numbers work, not a typical result.
| What it sells for, from real recent sales | $482.00 |
|---|---|
| Selling fees, 15% | −$72.30 |
| Shipping and packing | −$29.70 |
| Suggested offer: 75% of the $135 asking price, rounded up to the next $5 | −$105.00 |
| Projected profit | $275.00 |
That’s a 133% all-in return on the $207 you’d put in, so it clears both floors, and the find would cost $13.75. How we estimate profit explains each line.
What it costs
Your first profitable find is free. After that you pay $1 for every $20 of projected profit we send you, up to a monthly limit you choose, from $10 up. You’re never billed more than your limit. There’s no flat monthly fee, and a month with no finds costs nothing.
If something’s wrong with a find, report it from the find. If we confirm the problem, you get that find’s fee back.
No card needed for the first one. Pricing has the details.
