How the numbers work

Projected profit is what the item sells for, minus selling fees, shipping and what you pay the seller.

  • What it sells for

    A typical price from real recent sales of the same item. See them under Sold prices on any find.

  • Selling fees

    We take off 15% to be safe. Most resale sites keep less than that.

  • Shipping & packing

    We work out your item’s box size and weight, then use the higher end of real carrier prices across the U.S., plus the box, padding and tape.

  • What you pay the seller

    A bit under the asking price: 75% of it up to $500, 80% up to $1,000, 85% up to $2,500 and 90% above, rounded up to the next $5. If the price is firm, the full price.

By default we only send finds that make at least $50, and at least 50¢ for every $1 you spend.
